WHAT TO EXPECT

The Cypress Sprint Tri begins along the northern shore of Lake Bridgeland. Everyone will get a running start with their corresponding age groups and swim waves. The Super Sprint Tri will begin from the dock located across from Festival Park on the southwest side of the lake (same dock is used for Doggie Duathlon start). The Duathlon will begin their first run at the race finish line located adjacent to Festival Park.

Athletes will then transition into the bike leg of the course that takes you along Fry Road and N. Bridgeland Parkway. Police officers are positioned at all intersections to help direct traffic during the race.

During the run, athletes will follow the course corresponding to their event around the Bridgeland community before finishing the race right next to Festival Park, just in time to celebrate with friends and family.

Invitational and Special Age Group Classifications: 2023 Season

The invitational wave is NOT a pro/elite wave. This means that even though we have a separate wave for the invitational if an age grouper beats an invitational athlete’s time, they have beat them and will be awarded an overall placement in the top 3.  Age groupers that are brought up into the top 3 overall standing of the race are no longer eligible for age group or masters awards. Invitational athletes are also not eligible to go down into age group.

Timing
The timing chips are disposable for individual races but not for the relays. If you are part of a relay please remember to remove the timing chip at the finish line and recycle the chip and save the strap for the next event.
